Simmons Provides Update on Van Buren Operations Amidst Flood Event

SILOAM SPRINGS, Arkansas (May 28, 2019) — Simmons Prepared Foods released the following update on its Van Buren operations today:

As flooding impacts the Van Buren area, there is nothing more important to Simmons than the safety of our team members and their families. We continue to consult with local Emergency Management officials to assess conditions at Simmons’ operations in Van Buren. At this time, operations are continuing as regularly scheduled.

Team members should use their best judgment and consider their safety and individual circumstances in making the decision to travel to work. A cross-functional team including Operations, Safety, Human Resources, Communications, and Chaplain Services is communicating regularly to share information, assess operations and provide assistance to team members.
