Simmons Interns Volunteer at NWA Food Bank

On Wednesday, June 19, 31 Simmons interns took part in Internship Community Day, a day designed for students in the program to give back to the local community. This summer, interns had the opportunity to assist the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank, packing 4,800+ pounds of food (4,000 meals) for its Mobile Pantry Program.

Thank you so much for bringing your team out. They were incredibly helpful. Your crew built 240 boxes of food. All of these boxes will go out through our Mobile Pantry Program which serves 12 locations across Northwest Arkansas. I appreciate your time and dedication to ending food insecurity in our community.
