Voluntary Class I Recall of Simmons Chicken Products

Food safety is a very serious matter at Simmons. This is why Simmons issued a precautionary and voluntary recall for approximately 27,000 pounds of further processed boneless chicken products produced during one shift on October 3, 2023, at our Van Buren, Arkansas, location. This product may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically fragments from plastic safety glasses. We are working closely with regulatory authorities and the affected customer, Kraft Heinz, to expedite this product recall.

This issue was discovered through two individual customer complaints to the affected customer. There have been no reports of adverse customer reactions due to this issue. We have been working closely with the affected customer and regulatory authorities to expedite this product recall.
