Simmons Career Leadership Program Developing Leaders

Simmons’ Career Leadership Program is developing and preparing leaders to step into Production Supervisor roles at Simmons. This exciting program focuses on a strong start to prepare front-line leaders for success in leading high-performing production teams with a people-first focus. Throughout the six-month rotation program, participants will engage in formal training and job shadowing across all of Simmons’ operations, as well as leadership development.

“The Career Leadership Program provides newly graduated or early career team members with the necessary tools to be a successful supervisor from a leadership, business and technical perspective,” said Samantha Janisieski, Leadership Program Manager at Simmons. “During their six months in the program, they learn operations skills, soft skills, skills to lead others and gain insight into how departments outside of production play into their roles as future supervisors.”

The fourth class recently celebrated their graduation from the program and are stepping into their new roles. Over the past six months, this class completed the following:

  • 6,360 hours of operations rotations

  • 1,920 hours of business development

  • 2,280 hours of leadership development
