A New Beginning in Siloam Springs

In the early 1950s, Pluss Poultry was searching for new opportunities to expand. This search led the company to Siloam Springs, Arkansas; a town that was ready for change. Recognizing the opportunities for growth in their area, a group of forward-thinking business leaders in Siloam Springs sought out the partnership of Bill Simmons.

The leaders of Siloam Springs extended a warm invitation to Simmons in hopes Pluss Poultry would consider relocating to the community. They even raised funds to support the construction and establishment of the company's presence in their town.

In 1952, Pluss Poultry made the move to Siloam Springs. It was a commitment and responsibility Bill Simmons took seriously. This decision would firmly establish our presence in Siloam Springs and support the company and growth of Siloam Springs.

The addition of Pluss Poultry to Siloam Springs' business community began paying off immediately. Seven months before the Pluss facility formally opened in June 1951, Bill Simmons joined the Chamber of Commerce's board of directors. Siloam Springs helped establish a new business, and Bill Simmons found a town that would become a lasting part of his company's legacy. Neither would ever be the same.
