Simmons Pet Food Sends Product to Hurricane Disaster Relief

On Thursday, Simmons Pet Food sent a truckload (over 40,000 pounds) of dry dog food to aid in the Hurricane Irma relief efforts in Florida.

The food is being shipped to Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando, an agency that operates two pet adoption shelters, low-cost veterinary clinics and a full range of community outreach programs. The organization has two locations within the state: an Orlando and Sanford location.

During a natural disaster, such as Hurricane Irma,  Pet Alliance Orlando responds by distributing donated pet food to areas with a high concentration of displaced animals, ensuring the animals receive proper nourishment. With Simmons’ donation, many dogs that have been displaced by Hurricane Irma will have a tasty meal to enjoy! Great work, team!
