Simmons Foods announced today that Scott Salmon recently joined the company as President of Simmons Pet Food.
“Scott brings a strong track record of building and transforming businesses to respond to shifting consumer habits and market disruption. His leadership and strategic focus on talent, customer and channel development paired with Simmons robust operational capacity and innovative capabilities will be a powerful combination,” said David Jackson, COO of Simmons Foods.
Scott comes to Simmons from his most recent role as Chief Customer Officer for Kellogg Company. During his twenty-two-year tenure there he has proven himself as a thought leader and strategic sales executive, leading the company’s largest U.S. Sales team.
Outside of the office, Scott has served as a regional board member of the American Heart Association, and founded the Arkansas Chapter of Men Go Red as well as served as co-chair of Women Go Red. He is a board member of the California Grocers Association Educational Foundation and the Missouri State University Executive Advisory Board of the David Glass College of Business.
Scott is a graduate of Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri. He and his wife, Allison, have one daughter, Sydney.
