Statement from CEO Todd Simmons on United States-Mexico-Canada Trade Agreement

Simmons was pleased to welcome 28 students from the University of Missouri College of Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources to tour our research farm, pet food and poultry production facilities in the Northwest Arkansas region.

Food safety is a very serious matter at Simmons. That is why Simmons has issued a precautionary and voluntary recall of approximately 2 million pounds of fresh and frozen chicken products due to the potential to contain extraneous material, specifically metal. We are working closely with regulatory authorities and affected customers to expedite this product recall.

Simmons Pet Food, Inc. announced plans to transition wet pet food production capacity to optimize its operations, making necessary the closure of its pet food operations in Pennsauken, New Jersey by late next year.

Simmons Prepared Foods announced today that operations are beginning to ramp up as scheduled at its new $300 million Benton County poultry production facility.

On Wednesday, June 19, 31 Simmons interns took part in Internship Community Day, a day designed for students in the program to give back to the local community.

Simmons Foods announced the M.H. “Bill” Simmons Scholarship is awarding $134,000 in scholarships to 72 recipients for the 2019 program year. This year’s awards set a new milestone for the program, which has provided over $1.1 million in financial education assistance since the program’s inception.
